Karren Urben 1961-
Karren was known for her vibrant Portraits and Figurative Paintings , however since moving from Brighton to Ferring, a small seaside village in West Sussex her Paintings are now inspired by the sea, beach and the way that the land and its greenery touch the shore in this part of the world.
Life in general had changed for her after a serious illness and discovering she had severe Ankylosing Spondilitis , painting was on hold for a while but now with a new studio and new inspirations as well as, thanks to the NHS and Dr Raj Sengupta and team at "The Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases" a new lease of life Karren is now creating new work in Oils as well as taking commissions for Pet Portraits in Oil.

Member of The Sussex Society of Painters, Sculptors & Engravers. ( SSP)
Karren both Founded and ran "The Patcham Artists Open House Trail", part of The Brighton Artists Open House Trail for over 10 years.
Co-ordinated a Portrait Masterclass at Brighton University for Daniel E Greene N.A
